Fish Tales will be running 3 boats this year. Your experience is very important to us, and for that reason we do not mix groups. Meaning you will always have a personal experience with your captain and crew! The boats can take up to 6 passengers, but if you have a larger group we can accommodate with notice. All our boats meet or exceed USCG regulations, and all captains are licensed. Everything for fishing is provided, including fishing license, rod and reels, bait, and tackle. There will be a mate on the boat to bait your hook, remove your fish, and clean your fish at the end of the trip. Mates work for tips, so please keep that in mind. All the boats are 24' long, have padded seats, and are very stable. The boats all are equipped with bimini tops, but it is still recommended you bring a hat, and sunscreen.
The 2hr fishing trip is a great trip to get out on the water and catch some fish. You could have the opportunity to catch Croaker, Spot, Flounder, and more.

The Pony Swim from Assateague Island to Chincoteague Island is one of the largest events in the country. Thousands of people travel from all over the country, and beyond to attend.
This year the swim will be held on July 24, and the swim back will be July 26. We will be running 4 boats. All the boats exceed all USCG requirements and have licensed Coast Guard Captains. You will have the opportunity to get off the boat and walk around, wade, or take a swim on the Assateague side. If you plan on getting off the boat, we recommend you wear aqua shoes. You can either watch the ponies from the boat or get off and be within an arm's reach as they enter the water. There is no better place to watch the Pony Swim anywhere! We will have complimentary coffee, juice, water, and breakfast sandwiches on board. All boats have canopy tops.
$275 Per Person for the Swim Over
$125 Per Person for the Swim Back

With the cooler temperatures the Croaker, and Kingfish bites are becoming slower, however the Speckle Trout, and Puppy Drum bite is picking up. The shark bite inside has aslo slowed, but if you can get into the ocean you can still do pretty well. Rail (Clapper Rail) season opens September 16th, and numbers look pretty good!!
Check out this great video created by one of our customers. On the shark fishing trip!!!
